With the joint effort of they Metropolitan Police Range, Naya Baneshowr and Mid Nepal preservation team rescued  women who stayed in guest house in Gairigau for five months.  Most of them are brought to guest house by the brokers to send them Kuwait but the broker left them in guest house. 14yo Indian girl gang raped by soldiers on train
A teenage girl is receiving treatment in India after she was forced to drink alcohol and then raped by two army officers.The 14-year-old is understood to have mistakenly boarded a carriage reserved for army officers on the Howrah-Amritsar Express in the eastern state of Jharkhand on Sunday. Once on board, a junior army officer gave the girl alcohol before another two officers allegedly raped her six times when she went to the toilet.The Indian Express reports the girl had run away from her home in Kolkata earlier that day after not being allowed to visit her friend. After her family reported her missing, authorities established she had boarded a train when she was spotted on CCTV footage.Police halted the train at a station in Madhupur, where a search of all carriages was carried out. The girl was found in a near unconscious state in the army carriage with one of the officers, Mandrish Tripathi, beside her. Officers removed her from the train, Tripathi was arrested, and the train allowed to continue its journey. The victim appeared to be unaware of what had occurred.When police questioned the girl, it emerged she had been forced to drink alcohol and raped. After a medical exam confirming this, the girl identified the perpetrators on the railway’s CCTV footage. By this time, however, it was noon on Monday and the accused army officers had already disembarked the train, The Times of India reports.While two officers remain at large, Tripathi has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for supplying alcohol to the teenage girl. The army is understood to be working with detectives to establish the identities and whereabouts of the other two accused officers.

Rajendra Mahato demandes for Madhesis’ rights
New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Senior Madhesi leader Rajendra Mahato has said the people of Madhesh region have been deprived of their rights. Mahato was flown to New Delhi on January 01 after being injured in a clash between cadres of the Madhesi Morcha and police personnel at the Biratnagar-Jogbani border on December 26. Mahato said if Madhesis did not get their due rights, agitation can turn violent and the demand for independent nation can intensify. Madhesis, largely of Indian-origin, are agitating over the new constitution demanding more representation. They are also protesting the division of their ancestral homeland under the seven-province structure and have led an ongoing blockade of key border trade points with India. Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be visiting India early February. However, Mahato said before his visit to India Oli should ensure peace in his homeland. Mahato added that rights of Madhesis have been snatched by the Nepali government. He further added that entire world including India should put pressure on Nepal to solve the ongoing Terai unrest.

An Emotional Obama Unveils His Plan to Cut Gun Violence

President Barack Obama, at one point wiping tears from his cheek, unveiled his plan Tuesday to tighten control and enforcement of firearms in the U.S., using his presidential powers in the absence of legal changes he implored Congress to pass.

Obama accused the gun lobby of taking Congress hostage, but said “they cannot hold America hostage.” He insisted it was possible to uphold the Second Amendment while doing something to tackle the frequency of mass shootings in the U.S. that he said had become “the new normal.”

“This is not a plot to take away everybody’s guns,” Obama said in a ceremony in the East Room. “You pass a background check, you purchase a firearm. The problem is some gun sellers have been operating under a different set of rules.”

Obama wiped tears away as he recalled the 20 first-graders killed in 2012 at Sandy Hook Elementary School. He paid tribute to the parents, some of whom gathered for the ceremony, who he said had never imagined their child’s life would be cut short by a bullet.

“Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad,” Obama said.

At the centerpiece of Obama’s plan is a more sweeping definition of gun dealers that the administration hopes will expand the number of sales subject to background checks. Under current law, only federally licensed gun dealers must conduct background checks on buyers. But at gun shows, websites and flea markets, sellers often skirt that requirement by declining to register as licensed dealers.

Aiming to narrow that loophole, the Justice Department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is issuing updated guidance that says the government should deem anyone “in the business” of selling guns to be a dealer, regardless of where he or she sells the guns. To that end, the government will consider other factors, including how many guns a person sells, how frequently, and whether those guns are sold for a profit.

The White House also put gun sellers on notice that the administration planned to strengthen enforcement — including deploying 230 new examiners the FBI will hire to process background checks.

Following reports of short supply of condoms at GB Road, Delhi Government has directed the Central Procurement Agency (CPA) to urgently procure 4 lakh contraceptive for distribution among the sex workers residing in the red light area.Delhi Government will make these condoms available at its dispensary at Ajmeri Gate.The direction was given by Health Minister Satyendra Jain today after he held a meeting with Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal at the Delhi Secretariat, in which they also discussed rehabilitation of acid attack victims.”The Health minister has asked the Director, CPA to immediately procure four lakh condoms, either through Directorate General of Supplies and Disposal (DGS&D) or by limited tender, if the same is not available at DGS&D rates for distribution among the commercial sex workers of GB Road,” read the minutes of the meeting.Concerned over the lack in supply of condoms at GB road, the DCW chief had sought a detailed report from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) on the reasons for gap in supply of condoms in red light areas of the city and has asked it to resume the supply on an urgent basis.Ms Maliwal said about 5,000 women and hundreds of men at GB Road are at a high risk of contracting HIV and many may have already fallen prey to the virus due to a shortage in supply of condoms.

Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato, who flew to New Delhi on a regular Air India flight from Kathmandu for treatment, has been admitted to the Medanta City Hospital in Gurgaon.According to Upendra Mahto, who is leader Mahato’s nephew and member of the party’s Central Committee, the doctors at Medanta have started providing treatment to the leader.Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato, who was injured in police action in Nepal-India border point in Biratnagar on December 26, was airlifted to New Delhi for further treatment on Friday as his condition did not improve, according to his party leaders.Mahato had sustained injuries on various parts of his body during a violent clash with police at the Jogbani-Biratnagar border point, and was admitted to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.Sadbhawana Party Co-Chairman Laxman Lal Karna told THT Online over phone from Birgunj some minutes before Mahato’s flight to New Delhi from Kathmandu that the party chairman would be taken to the Indian capital as his wounds did not get healed in these seven days.
